Summary

EventPeers is operated as a small product: we use Google to sign you in, store conference and profile data you provide, and host the service on infrastructure we control. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.

What we collect

Account data. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image URL. We use this to identify your session and show your name in the app.

Networking profiles. If you join an attendee list for an event, we store the fields you submit (for example company, role, bio, links, and interests) along with your consent choices.

Technical data. Like most sites, our hosting provider may log requests (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and reliability. We do not use those logs for advertising profiling.

How we use it
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To show conference listings and, when you opt in, to display your networking profile to other attendees who also joined the same list.
  • To respond if you contact us or exercise your privacy rights.
Processors and third parties
  • Google for OAuth sign-in (subject to Google's terms and privacy policy).
  • Amazon Web Services (or similar cloud providers we may use) for application hosting and databases.
Retention and your choices

You can update or remove your networking participation from your account when you are signed in, or email us below for help. You may request deletion of your account and associated records; we will confirm identity and complete the request within a reasonable time unless we must retain certain data for legal reasons.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you may have rights under GDPR (including access, rectification, erasure, and objection). If you are in California, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Contact us and we will help.

Security and children

We use industry-standard practices for transport encryption (HTTPS) and access-controlled databases. No method of transmission over the Internet is perfectly secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please tell us responsibly.

EventPeers is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
