Arbitration at the Quarter Century - Looking Forward & Looking Back

Explore the evolution of arbitration over the past 25 years with esteemed panelists from the CPR arbitration community.

About

Join us for 'Arbitration at the Quarter Century - Looking Forward & Looking Back,' a virtual event hosted by the CPR Institute's Arbitration Committee on April 1, 2026. This program is exclusively open and free for CPR Members and CPR Neutrals. As we mark 25 years of significant evolution in arbitration, our esteemed panelists will share their diverse experiences and viewpoints, representing various sectors including CPR neutrals, outside counsel, in-house counsel, and academia. The first quarter of the 21st century has witnessed remarkable changes in arbitration practices, including the growth of electronic disclosure, the rise of virtual hearings, and the integration of artificial intelligence. Additionally, there have been significant shifts in the composition of neutral rosters, the specialization of arbitrators, and the increasing prominence of English as the arbitration language, alongside a diversification of arbitral seats. Our panelists will delve into these developments and provide insights into what the future may hold for arbitration. The event will feature a distinguished panel moderated by Viren Mascarenhas, Co-Chair of CPR Institute's Arbitration Committee, along with notable panelists such as Dr. Anton Maurer, Lisa Love, Effie Silva, Kabir Duggal, and Shigeki Obi, all recognized as CPR Distinguished Neutrals. Don't miss this opportunity to engage with thought leaders in the field and gain valuable perspectives on the evolution of arbitration.
