2026 Arbitration Training
Join the 2026 Arbitration Training for matrimonial lawyers to enhance arbitration skills and knowledge.
About
The 2026 Arbitration Training is an immersive, two-day in-person event designed specifically for matrimonial lawyers looking to integrate arbitration into their practice. This comprehensive program will equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to conduct successful arbitrations under the Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act (UFLAA) and advocate for its adoption in their state. The training is ideal for attorneys seeking to expand their dispute resolution offerings and lead the way in advancing arbitration within their jurisdictions.
Participants will benefit from a variety of training highlights, including pre-training preparation sessions via Zoom, access to a pre-recorded webinar on the history of arbitration, and a review of relevant statutes and case law. The in-person training will feature hands-on instruction tailored to family law applications, practical guidance, and discussions on branding skills and passing family law arbitration legislation. Additionally, post-training support will include one-on-one sessions with advisors to review and receive feedback on arbitration awards.
The event is open exclusively to AAML Fellows until February 11, 2026, after which registration may open to non-fellows if capacity allows. AAML is the only organization offering arbitration certification specifically for family law, and participants who complete the program will be certified as AAML-Certified Arbitrators.
